MISSION
Authentic Spanish, learned through play.
OUR HOME · SINCE 2004
For twenty years, The Spanish Immersion Program has been Sacramento's leading — and only — early-childhood Spanish immersion program of its kind.
The Spanish Immersion Program began in 2004 in the home of Blanca Lawton. What started as a small initiative grew quickly — especially among preschool-aged children — and soon added after-school classes, summer camps and Parent & Me sessions.
In 2009 the program established a permanent home in East Sacramento. Since 2025 our regular classes are held at the Land Park location, while summer camp continues in East Sacramento.
Two decades on, we are still the first and longest-running Spanish immersion program for children in the Sacramento area — and proud to have nurtured generations of bilingual learners.
The program is now owned and led by Alejandra Zepeda.
Originally from Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico, Alejandra holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from her home country and brings over 19 years of experience in education.
She joined the program in 2022 as a teacher. Her leadership, dedication and passion for immersive education led her to take on the role of Owner and Director.
She carries the program's mission forward — a comprehensive Spanish immersion experience, enriched by family involvement and meaningful, hands-on learning.
Three ideas, one shape.
Children are guided by native Spanish-speaking educators — trained, experienced, and chosen for how well they work with young children. Every activity, whether it's music, movement, conversation, art, storytelling, games or pretend play, is conducted entirely in Spanish, so children absorb the language naturally while building confidence and curiosity.
